- The University of Queensland (UQ)
- Royal Melbourne Instititute of Technology (RMIT)
- Queensland University of Technology (QUT)
Project statement: The aim of the HDM project is to develop a component-based consulting methodology that embraces and exemplifies design ability to enable people’s interaction with the lived world.
Impact on the field: This research will make a significant contribution to the field of interaction design, design research and ethnography. This project will bring together in an equitable partnership practices which have been endeavoring to work together for sometime across different fields.
Impact on industry: The prime industry context for this project is ACID; as such the impact of the project will be internally in ACID methods and process, and externally for the various industry sectors that ACID engages with.
Points of difference: The key points of difference for this project are its focus on design as a method and methodology and, its integration of people and design within projects (conceptualization to completion). Central to this is the human context of project teams and project outcomes.
